The results of the recently held assembly elections are historic. These results are remarkable in many ways and hold far-reaching significance for the nation. The people of Haryana have not only shown immense faith in the dynamic and charismatic leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi but also supported the vision of Viksit Bharat. It’s for the first time in Haryana since its formation that a government has been voted back for a third consecutive term, that too with increased seats and vote percentage. The formation of the BJP government for the third consecutive time is a record that shows the power of politics of performance and development. While the BJP government in Haryana was able to end the Congress regime of open loot of public money, corruption in jobs and other spheres of governance, misrule, and divisive politics, the unprecedented welfare work done earlier under former chief minister Shri Manoharlal Khattar and later by chief minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini created a new saga of performance and development in the state.
The journey of the last ten years has completely transformed the entire state, catapulting it to the forefront of development and social change. There was a time when the state used to make news for all the wrong reasons under Congress rule, but now the same Haryana is marching ahead by making the entire nation proud with its fabulous achievements. The state is also a huge beneficiary of the Modi government’s innovative schemes for the poor, farmers, deprived, exploited, oppressed, women, and youth of the society, leading to their empowerment. The increased MSP for increased number of crops, PM-Kisan Samman scheme, crop insurance, and advanced methods of farming have all made the farmers of Haryana proud contributors in the nation’s food grain exports. The massive infrastructure, sports facilities, AIIMS, IIT, and many such initiatives have opened the gate to a bright future for youth. The focus on women has not only seen improved sex ratio but also seen the emergence of large numbers of Lakhpati Didis in the state. It was the all-round development that is visible everywhere in the state, which has resulted in people blessing the BJP for a ‘Nonstop Haryana’.
The results of the Jammu & Kashmir assembly elections will begin a new chapter of development in the state. While the National Conference, along with its alliance partners, is set to form the government, the BJP has not only emerged as the highest

vote-getter but also increased its tally significantly from the last elections. As the BJP feels encouraged by the blessings it received from the people and by its performance on many seats in the valley, the elections are in fact a vindication of its long-held policy on Article 370 since Jansangh days. The successful and peaceful conduct of elections, huge participation of people in the elections, and enthusiasm of the people in the democratic process further reinforce the strength of Indian democracy. As Jammu & Kashmir comes out of the era of terrorism, separatism, and alienation, the abrogation of Article 370 has ensured the dawn of true democracy and paved the path of development and good governance in the state. While results are encouraging, the entire democratic exercise is heartening.
While the people of Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir have spoken their minds, the divisive politics of Congress stands exposed and defeated. It’s highly unfortunate that Congress and its allies refuse to read the aspirations of people and learn from their defeats. The Congress leadership is not only in constant denial of their irrelevance but keeps resorting to their old tactics of lies and rumour mongering mixed with their divisive politics of deceit. As their attempts to take country back to their failed agenda of 70s have been rejected umpteen times by the people, they regale in ridiculously celebrating their defeats. As Congress continues its regressive journey backward, people bless politics of performance and development.
