As the NDA government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, starts its third inning, the nation celebrates this truly historical occasion, reinforcing its faith in the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’. The return of the Modi government for the third consecutive term signifies faith in its unparalleled and untiring journey full of remarkable achievements. The people have reposed their faith once again in the charismatic and dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, who traversed tirelessly across the entire country, taking his message of ‘Viksit Bhart’ to every section of society and echoing his dream in every corner of the country. His remarkable commitment to the principles of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas’ has resonated deeply with the poor, deprived, exploited, oppressed, farmers, women, and youth who have registered their unflinching faith in his appeal and have stood by his vision. In the Amrit Kaal, the 18th Lok Sabha commenced with renewed trust in Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s leadership as newfound confidence powers the nation to scale new heights in the coming days.

While addressing the joint session of parliament, the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Draupadi Murmu, congratulated the newly elected members and expressed confidence in their dedication to serve the nation with the spirit of ‘Nation First’. As

In the Amrit Kaal, the 18th Lok Sabha commenced with renewed trust in Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s leadership as newfound confidence powers the nation to scale new heights in the coming days

the President highlighted the historic scale of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, noting the record voter turnout of around 64 crore, she particularly applauded the huge participation from Jammu and Kashmir while highlighting that the women have voted in large numbers. It was a proud moment as the world witnessed that the people have elected a stable government with a clear majority consecutively for the third term, which has happened after six decades. It was further emphasised that the mantra of ‘Reform, Perform, and Transform’ led to India’s remarkable achievements while transforming the nation into the world’s fastest-growing major economy. In the past years, the nation has grown at an average rate of around 8% annually, contributing 15% of global growth and aiming to become the third-largest economy in a few years. It was made possible due to untiring efforts to improve the lives of poor, farmers, SCs, STs, OBCs, EWSs, women, and youth through innovative schemes empowering rural to urban sectors with a special focus on hitherto deprived and neglected regions.

While the nation expects the commitment of the newly elected MPs to engage in healthy debates and discussions in accordance with the principles of positive politics serving the interests of the people, it is unfortunate to note that the members of INDI-Alliance have used their parliamentary privileges to divide, polarise, and segregate the people of the country on lines of caste, religion, and region. It is a tragedy that the Leader of Opposition, whose conduct ideally should reflect the highest standards of parliamentary values, in his very first speech has referred to the majority community of this country as hateful and violent. The intolerant attempts of the opposition to continuously disrupt the PM’s reply to the motion of thanks to the presidential address are highly condemnable, deplorable, and unfortunate. The opposition must desist from repeating such anti-democratic behaviour, which is extremely unacceptable in parliamentary democracy.

The Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla has rightly introduced a resolution on Emergency reminding the nation of the darkest chapter in Indian political history, as it is important to learn from the past so as to strengthen the democratic principles and values of the nation. As India embarks on its glorious journey towards ‘Viksit Bharat’, lessons from the past and a sense of pride in achievements will power the nation’s journey in realising its dreams. As the Prime Minister is committed to work three times harder in his third term, nation’s pace of progress is set to create new records with renewed vigour and dynamism.
